robert-moir-pictureRobert Moir is the founder of Elk Rock Capital Partners and has served as the Managing Principal since the Company’s inception in 2007. Mr. Moir brings over 20 years of experience in mortgage and real estate capital markets, focusing primarily on the sale and acquisitions of mortgage whole loans secured by commercial and residential real estate.
Prior to founding Elk Rock, Mr. Moir was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers, where he was a member of the Banking Specialty Group advising bank clients on mortgage sales and structures. Mr. Moir lead Lehman Brothers into the origination of small balance commercial mortgage loans and servicing.
Prior to Lehman, Mr. Moir was Vice President of Wilshire Financial Services Group, where he sourced and managed loan acquisitions.

Elk Rock maintains a panel of six service providers who often consult on a project level basis. Each panelist is required to have at least 20 years of experience in the project space and has led managed $2 billion in transaction volume across the capital markets.
